The Department conducts researches on the textbook system of general secondary education institutions in economically developed countries, performs comparative analysis and provides scientifically proved recommendations for improving the quality of educational literature and improving the textbook system.

– scientific and methodological support of publishing educational literature;
– improvement of the legal framework for the publication of educational literature;
– study of requests and forecasting of needs in educational literature;
– analysis of the publication condition and provision of educational institutions with textbooks and manuals;
– maintaining the dynamics of updating educational literature, which is issued for budget funds and laid into the school library funds;
– control over the placement of electronic versions of textbooks;
– participation in specialized book exhibitions, conferences, seminars, webinars.
