Department of scientific research and certification of scientific personnel

The Department of scientific research and certification of scientific personnel was established as an independent structural subdivision of the State Scientific Institution “Institute of Education Contend Modernization” (hereinafter – the Institute) to organize, coordinate and agree the actions of the Institute’s subdivisions concerning research activities. The Department consists of three sectors: the Sector of scientific research operations, the Sector of scientific and analytical operations, and the Sector of scientific and methodological support for the student competitions and contests. The Sector of scientific research operations is responsible for scientific and methodological support, coordination and information support of the scientific activity of the Institute; formation of a thematic plan of research activity which is performed at the Institute; preparation of general reports concerning scientific activity of the Institute and other scientific and analytical materials for the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, state authorities and administration; conducting statistical accounting of scientific works, scientific and methodical developments, patented scientific inventions; preparation of
information and analytical materials for the Institute of State Certification as a scientific institution. The tasks of the Sector of scientific and analytical operations include: conducting basic and applied researches on the subject of the department; organizational support of doctoral work; instructional support and certification of researchers, preparation of relevant documentation and statistical accounting of the process; evaluation of the effectiveness of scientific activity of researchers and scientific subdivisions of the Institute; harmonization with state legislation, in case of changes or additions, regulations: The procedure for holding a competition to fill vacant research positions at the State Scientific Institution “Institute of Education Contend Modernization” and Regulations on evaluating the effectiveness of scientific activities of researchers and research units of the State Scientific Institution “Institute of Education Contend Modernization”; organizing and conducting competitions to fill vacant scientific positions of the Institute; development of internal legal documentation, orders and instructions on conducting competitions for filling vacant scientific positions of the Institute;
organization of the work of the commission for the appointment of academic scholarships named after the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred; formation of the list of scientific conferences on problems of higher education and science in the system of the Ministry of Education and Science. The main task of the Sector of scientific and methodological support for the student competitions and contests is scientific and methodological support of the functioning of the support system for gifted student youth in the implementation of European standards in higher education, wider development of forms of research activities of students focused on promising scientific and technical areas. Employees of the Sector carry out scientific and methodological work on conducting international and national student competitions, competitions of scientific works of students and other activities aimed at finding and supporting gifted student youth.
