Department of scientific, educational and methodological support for the correctional and inclusive education content
The main tasks of the Department are:
– study and generalization of domestic and foreign experience in the development of correctional and inclusive education systems, dissemination of pedagogical innovations and new technologies, scientific achievements and advanced ideas in practice;
– development of scientific and methodological support for the content of education of children with special educational needs;
– scientific and methodological support for the development of standard educational programs for individuals with special educational needs, programs for correctional and developmental activity;
– coordination of innovative educational activities aimed at improving the activity of educational institutions for children with special educational needs;
– organizing and conducting a competitive selection of textbooks and manuals for individuals with special educational needs, competitive selection of manuals for pedagogical employees who work with children with special educational
needs;
– organizing and conducting the annual All-Ukrainian competition “Erudite” among students with hearing impairments of 12th (13th) grades of general secondary education;
– organization of the Expert Commission on Special Pedagogy activity;
– providing inclusive resource centers with modern diagnostic tools, including the acquisition of WISC-IV methods (methods for testing verbal intelligence and cognitive abilities), LEITER-3 (methods for testing nonverbal intelligence and cognitive abilities), PEP-3 (methods for testing psychoeducation) , CASD (Method for Determining Autism Spectrum Disorders) and CONNERS-3 (Method for Diagnosing Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and Disorder) for conducting a comprehensive assessment of the development of children with special educational needs in the IRC (including the purchase of software services);
– preparation of proposals for the formation of the List of educational literature recommended by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine for using in general secondary education institutions for children with special educational needs;
– organizing and conducting scientific and methodical conferences, scientific and practical seminars on the problems of education of children with special educational needs.
